Class 11 Chemistry online classes

Class 11 is where Chemistry is won or lost. Roughly half of NEET and JEE Chemistry comes from Class 11 topics, and every Class 12 chapter builds on them. Here is the whole year, chapter by chapter.

The 9 NCERT Class 11 chapters

Since the NCERT syllabus was rationalised, the Class 11 Chemistry book has nine chapters. This is what each one covers:

#ChapterWhat you learn
1Some Basic Concepts of ChemistryMole concept, molar mass, stoichiometry, limiting reagent, concentration terms
2Structure of AtomBohr model, quantum numbers, orbitals, electronic configuration
3Classification of Elements and PeriodicityPeriodic table, trends in radius, ionisation enthalpy, electronegativity
4Chemical Bonding and Molecular StructureVSEPR shapes, hybridisation, molecular orbital theory, hydrogen bonding
5ThermodynamicsFirst law, enthalpy, Hess's law, entropy and Gibbs energy
6EquilibriumKc and Kp, Le Chatelier's principle, pH, buffers, solubility product
7Redox ReactionsOxidation numbers, balancing redox equations
8Organic Chemistry: Some Basic Principles and TechniquesIUPAC naming, isomerism, inductive and resonance effects, reaction intermediates
9HydrocarbonsAlkanes, alkenes, alkynes, aromatic compounds and their reactions

Why these chapters matter later

Class 11 chapters are not finished when the year ends. They come back inside Class 12 topics, and in NEET and JEE:

  • Mole concept is used in solutions, electrochemistry and every physical chemistry numerical.
  • Chemical bonding explains the structures in coordination compounds and the p-block.
  • Thermodynamics and equilibrium connect directly to electrochemistry (ΔG = −nFE) and kinetics.
  • Organic basics (GOC) decide whether you understand or memorise every organic chapter in Class 12.
The cost of a weak Class 11: students who rush it usually spend their Class 12 year relearning it under pressure. Steady work now saves months later.

How a week of classes works

  1. Concept classes on the Elementize app, live with recordings, explained in Tamil and English.
  2. Chapter notes to revise from: definitions, diagrams, formulas and solved examples.
  3. Practice with NCERT questions first, then NEET and JEE-style questions on the same topic.
  4. A chapter test with detailed solutions, so mistakes are fixed while the chapter is fresh.

Who these classes are for

  • CBSE Class 11 students who want strong school marks and a NEET or JEE foundation.
  • Tamil Nadu State Board students moving to NCERT-based competitive exam preparation.
  • Students who learn best when concepts are explained in Tamil, with English exam terms.

Tips for the year

  • Finish the first four chapters thoroughly before the half-yearly exam. They are the base for everything after.
  • Keep a formula sheet per chapter and add to it as you go.
  • Practise IUPAC naming a little every day during the GOC chapter. It takes repetition, not one long session.
  • Test yourself with our chapter-wise Chemistry MCQs.

Questions

Can I join in the middle of the year?

Yes. Recorded classes let you catch up on chapters already taught. Message us and we will suggest an order.

Do you also teach Class 11 Physics?

Yes, our Physics lecturer teaches the full Class 11 and 12 Physics syllabus.
